Why does this article avoid mentioning THE GUTENBERG PROJECT?
The Gutenberg Project which has been in operation for many years now, has been doing just this. Perhaps YAHOO should just put the works of the Gutenberg press online directly.

The stupidity of Congress in extending the copyright to effectively forever, has been a major clinker in the project.

Isn't it amazing how our representatives lead the way in opposing sources of learning while the run on a platform of improving schools?
