It's cheaper...
... to just hire away all the employees.
I'm all for people working where they want to, but I don't know how Yahoo thought it was going to get away with hiring 13 employees of a company that was going to sell something to them.
The employees are not to blame, but both Nuance for not keeping their emplyees happy, and Yahoo for gutting Nuance's development.
