If you have ever seen anything about musicians, you would know that a multi-platinum album still gets them crap. The show about TLC comes to mind. There are others, too.

As for your point, I am not missing it. I understand it completely especially with someone that just has a few million. Heck, I could even understand it up to a few billion. But think about it, with 50B, he could spend a billion a year for the rest of his life and not run out of money (assuming he doesn't live past 100).
