You are using VERY fuzzy math, dude
I did not state that they donated over half their wealth each YEAR. Although the last dividend that MS paid out gave Bill and Milinda a 5 billion $ cash windfall, all of which was donated to the foundation. And I would be willing to bet that that was more than 90% of their income for that year! Over the years they have donated approx 25 Billion in cash and stock at the time of donations. Because of the stock, the value of their donations have gone up and down over the years. Over the same period of years their wealth has gone up and down ending up at 51 billion at this time acording forbes. I agree it is not EXACT Math, but it is good enough for charity work!! The point being is that the have donated a very, very significant portion of their WEALTH, not yearly income, not cash, Total WEALTH. Can you or I say the same? I wish I could!!! Maybe if we gave credit due to the Gates family for their generosity in the same proportion that they donate there would not be so much Gates bashing around here. I'm not a MS fan, But I insist on giving credit where credit is due!!
