Yes but..
"Their is nothing wrong with gathering evidence on US citizens with court oversite with reasonable cause."

Sorry, my friend, but those days are OVER. It is now LEGAL for the feds to arrest and detain indefinitely any American citizen without providing evidence.
You can thank, once again, the phony contrived "war on terra" for this one.

"Our military is forbidden to spy on US citizens."

Ummm dude, this is a VERY GOOD thing. Posse Comitatus protects ***US***, not the "terrorists". Take New Orleans as a prime example. FEMA CUT EMERGENCY PHONE LINES!!! Who did that help?! ONLY the government. Also the reason for it is this is not the military's job, just like it's not the job of the National Guard to replace the military in a full-fledged war. The military is to protect a country, not police it. Posse Comitatus was WISELY put in place by people that feared fascist style military takeovers of American cities (like, um, precisely what took place in NO). It was not set up to appease the dopers and treehuggers. Those people have virtually no say in politics, especially nowadays.

"Maybe that is why the gov't isn't run to responsibly."

It's not because our government has been hijacked by fascist crooks, who could care less about the health and future of America. That's why they can order 100,000+ soldiers, tanks, and planes to some remote part of the world in virtually no time whatsoever while for some reason can't mobilize people and resources right in their own land. wink
