so according to you they are not that bright. Best and brightest working at Microsoft? Gates and Ballmer. Especially Gates, he's got the skills of a businessman. Just look at the position Microsoft is in. Ballmer was the second in command up until a few years ago. If you don't think these guys know how to run a ship then you are very mistaken.
