No Axe bit by'the moral quandry
No Axe has been instructed by Redmond to write - "I don't think MS cares he left, it was the stolen information and his plans to use them that cuased the grief".

This is just a p*ssing competition between the two struuting bucks in the Search park. Using stolen information, according to No-Axe is a crime, as long as its not Microsoft doing the stealing and the using. Sending Microsoft engineers into Goldtech Industries disguised as sales reps for as long as it took to steal their plans for the intellimouse? Perfectly acceptable, to the Microsoft party faithful. Partnering Burst.com for only as long as was needed to steal their streaming video technology
for "innovation" into Windows? Perfectly acceptable to the Microsoft party faithful. Partnering Sendo right up to the point where Sendo were about to release their phone, and Microsoft suddenly break the partnership and magically introduce their own perfect copy of the Sendo design? Perfectly acceptable to the Microsoft party faithful.

"Gates shed some light on his own hard-nosed business philosophy. "Although about 3 million computers get sold every year in China, but people don't pay for the software," he said. "Someday they will, though. As long as they are going to steal it, we want them to steal ours. They'll get sort of addicted, and then we'll somehow figure out how to collect sometime in the next decade."

Yep, stealing is fine, by Microsoft - until they're on the receiving end.

PS I don't support or condone or justify what Lee has ALLEGEDLY done.
