Its a VERY simple explanation that people either ignore or won't believe. VoIP will DESTROY the telcos - adapt or die because low cost telephony is here to stay. Once EVERYONE is using VoIP, the value proposition that Skype, Vonage, etc. have WILL BE GONE, GONE, GONE! That is the ability to span VoIP to POTS. No POTS, no need for spanning, so WHY am I paying someone for VoIP?

In the future, your email address will double as your VoIP phone number. Anyone can call anyone else, just by knowing an email address.
