re: Spamming the Spammers

Have you heard of BlueSecurity? (http://www.bluesecurity.com/) It's basically the "good" community working together, sending coordinated attacks on the Spammers. In a nutshell, it's a 'white-hat' DDOS attack on the spammers servers, choking them and their revenues down.

When a spam comes in, the spammer is sent a 'polite' email to take everyone in the 'blue' community off their list. If they don't comply, there is a coordinated attack sent towards that spammer by all members of the 'blue' community.

It all happens in the background so your time is negligible. Bluesecurity has just gone public, and I think their size is already quite large - so hopefully, the'll just keep growing.

It reminds me of those old movies where the citizens took matters into their own hands and grabbed pitchforks and torches to chase the 'baddies' out of town...and really...who WOULDN'T want to pitchfork a few of these spammers.

Like any inntelligent person, don't take it from me. Do a search on Bluesecurity.com and fighting spam on Google.
