the sad part is that the Entertainment industry was offered this kind of solution many times over. I brought one such system to them myself. It was a viable, inexpensive, upgradeable way to store and distribute all forms of media to a wide user base. You should've seen the financial returns I calculated! Billions of dollars split between artist and Studio... consumers paying no more than what they pay now for internet and cable TV combined, virtually eliminating the costs of mass DVD stamping, packaging costs, distribution costs, DRM, and Album cover art. Every single Movie, TV show, Music video, Song, Book, and even commercial on tap!

They said no to me and no to countless others. Why? the reason I was given was that even with the stunning financial returns I showed them, they're still making more money now.

If you think that they are greedy, try multiplying that by 100 and you might hit the tip of the iceberg of their greed.

They've made it clear that they don't want to change without a fight. Well one woman is giving them one. She's suing them for violations of the RICO act... specifically... extortion.

Settle out of court or we'll sue you for something we think you did. We have questionable proof that doesn't prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt but we're going to make you spend as much money as possible in legal fees!

That's extortion. Extortion is illegal.
