- I'm Not Even an AOL Customer.
- Alltel's been my ISP for years, I've never purchased AOL or they're services. Upon reconciling my bank account, imagine my surprise to discover that AOL had been charging my account for the last 3 months. We contacted our bank, cancelled the card, filed these fraudulent transactions with our bank and contacted AOL for a cancellation number. AOL offered to reimburse one of our other card numbers but after the horror stories we've heard there was no way we were going to provide them with a valid card number. What I'm wondering is how AOL got our card number to charge in the first place? Have they now stooped to sniffing internet packets for Credit Cards they can slam.
