AOL Continues to Rip-off the public!!!
I recently took advantage of AOL's offer for free service for six months. At the end of that six months, I received "pop-up" messages from AOL reminding me that my free services was ending. They asked, in these pop-up messages, if I wanted to sign on for continued service at a fee. I told them "NO!" Four months later I receive a bill for $115.60. It appears that they decided to start charging me. I did not agree to start an account with them and was under the impression that the service was ended. They say I should have called them. I was not aware that I was required to call them to keep from being charged. In any event, I feel I have been victimized and they have no right to set up an account in my name without my explicit and clear permission. It doesn't appear that they have learned their lession from the New York law suites. They are still using underhanded methods to force people to pay bogus charges. I did not want to continue with AOL after the six months was completed, and I should not be required to pay for something I didn't ask for or even realize that I had.

Signed, Pissed Off!!!
