Just what we need... another instant messaging program. As if all the teens and lonely men with porn site memberships needed another way to "get in touch." I can see the productivity drops starting already as the masses flock to something they don't need but have to have, because it's Google after all, isn't it? Doesn't that give it automatic cachet?

If you're looking for someone to take another bite out of Microsoft's Empire, this is perhaps exciting. If you're looking for something practical and useful, well, you're out of luck. Unless Google's IM makes coffee and can feed my baby daughter, I won't be joining you.
