RE: Working from home
3 cars
4 motorcycles (2 BMW's and 2 harley's)
10 Bicycles (5 road, 5 mountain)

Thing is people are to damn lazy and are to self important to see the bigger picture of their actions. It's all about "me" "me" "me"! It's truly pathetic.

Yes we have mass transit systems, they work. If more people used them then the quality of service would be forced to increase. More people means fewer people will act up. Face it we are in a metropolitan society. You cannot escape the masses. One way or another you will be waiting in line.

The bottom line is Americans are lazy, greedy and the advertisements we are bombarded (actually you and those that watch prime time TV) with only perpetuate the self importance or you are more important than everyone else mentallity that invades this country.

I have found that there are areas within this country where the corporate bombardment of our senses by ads and all the BS, is where the good people and selfless people are. And there are a dying breed.

In the end we all lose, but hey I got mine! seems to be the attitude. Yeah, well you got yours but your children won't and soon enough it won't matter now will it?

Good on you for working from home. It has many advanteges. I seem to get more done, fewer distractions. I save money on fuel and vehicle maintenace, my insurance has also dropped even lower now, because my annual milage is around 5,000 miles, instead of 25,000. So we as a family are seeing the benefits. And the best part of it all is... we are 100% debt free. So that is more money we can invest and stash away for retirement, college, vacations or emergencies. This is the American dream now. To have this kind of financial freedom.

Okay I have ranted off topic now to get on topic...

Bottom line, there are alternative fuel sources, but the oil corporations and their shareholders are holding us back. They are controlling our lives and soon things will start to get really nasty. With China now needing more oil to support her growing infrastructure, there will be a major fight. And I can see us involved on a multi-front war. And like the Romans and the Germans we will lose.
