Thats why I think Iran needs nuclear

Yes true, but it won't be extracted for Energy purposes.

That's why I think Iran is after Nuclear power. If they wanted nuke weapons they could just buy them in exchange for oil, China has nukes and desperately needs oil, so do several other countries. I think they want nuclear *reactors* because around 2017-2020 the oil will no longer create enough energy to pump itself out and it will only be useful for chemical production.
They'll need another source of energy to pump that out, and the timing seems about right (assume 10-15 years to get up a decent nuclear program going).
