So what did you mean then? You claimed you think you know what he was thinking? What was it then?

Oh, you mean the Europeans should ask for some endless royalty for "setting up" the US? Remember Carl: you're a foreigner in a foreign land. Your ancestors violated peoples' rights to establish your "freedom". Should George Washington have said "build your own US"?

And how is that? Do you really think most all of the internet's servers still reside in the US?

"If the rest of the world doesn't like the way the Internet is run, then it should develop its own. If the US is thus isolated, who loses?"

And China, Taiwan, etc., should tell the US to piss off and manufacture its OWN products. Let me ask you Carl: would the world miss the internet more than the US would miss..well..just about every low cost product sold in the US?
