- Jeff: Yes you're wrong
-
"Or an *I* putting words into your mouth? Tell me if I'm wrong.."
Yes, you're putting words in my mouth. Besides it being a facetious response to another facetious post, there are myriad reasons why someone would be complaining about ICANN and/or the US government. You automatically jump to the conclusion that I "automatically assumed it was because he hates the US merely for the sake of doing so". I never said that. You inferred that because you want to see me that way. My assumption of non-obvious motivations is based on the seeming contradictions involved in all the complaints (see my other posts for details).
"...the individual countries should be able to form their own policy regarding the internet."
Then let them build their own Internets, or pay the US for all the time, effort, and resources that went into setting it up. I resent the rest of the world deciding that the Internet, paid for mostly by US citizens, has all of a sudden become the "world's property" and should be "nationalized" (internationalized?). If the rest of the world doesn't like the way the Internet is run, then it should develop its own. If the US is thus isolated, who loses?
