Microsoft is leading the way...
My MCSD's fully comprehend the importance of the web, but I disagree that Google will have anything to do with it. We have licensed the right to leverage MSN content for our applications. My rep and I discussed the details over dinner a few months ago. We wrote a large check and received a .CHM file with an SDK. Although it was less than 700KB in size, my rep delivered it on a DVD to give our executive team the impression that we were getting a huge product here. I also used this as an excuse to upgrade all of the workstations here with DVD+-RW media capable devices. As a symbol of the unbridled power of this platform, one of my top-Top-TOP MCSD's wrote a VB.NET application that searches MSN and displays the search results on a web page. Very revolutionary.
