Patent Office plans new e-filing system

What new system?: You're talking about the Copyright Office maybe?

USPTO was initially Netscape only and internal systems were not fully IE compliant (the Help Desk wouldn't support) as of a couple of years ago, although I'm sure you can use IE with the public Automated Patent System.
