- good point..which leads me..

..to something important: like you said, it's not the facts but whether they are palatable which is the deciding factor. However, this will ONLY be to our detriment, because while we shun or discredit things which may actually be true, we help to perpetuate future crimes by not exposing former ones. If I mug someone and get away with it, aren't I more likely to mug someone in the future? Our desire to remain coddled will only make us not only more ignorant, but put in much more danger.
These are not times in which we can just pull the blanket over our head. I know by your posts that you, as well as I and many others, are VERY frustrated by the sheep like unquestioning mentality of the average American. While I understand that many people act this way, I am finding this behavior more and more unacceptable.
Why do many people still think 9/11 was carried out by Muslim terrorists? Because they keep looking the other way.
Why was this country tricked into an illegal war? Because people looked the other way.
Why were the last two presidential elections allowed to be stolen? Because people looked the other way.
Why are big corporations able to just buy up and run roughshod over everything? Because people looked the other way. - Posted by: Jeff Spicoli Posted on: 08/10/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
