Fahrenheit 451 and 1984
Will we be allowed to copy the books?

Or will there be one centralised copy of the book held on centralised computer?

How will anyone know if the book has changed on the centralised computer from the original?

If we think about the Bradbury novel Fahrenheit 451 then each of us should start memorising a book we love now.

Also the truth can be conveniently altered on big brother's mainframe so that lots of things "never happened" because they are no longer in the history books. Think how much Stalin would have loved Photoshop, such a handy tool when you need to get rid of Leon Trotsky from a lot of photographs in hurry.

We should perhaps always remain mistrustful of people who want to get rid of books no matter how well intentioned they might be.
