There are many alternatives to AOL ... most are better!
Personally, I use Verizon DSL (if available where you are). I think it's the best value.
It's $30 ($7 more a month than AOL) and gives you 20 times the speed AND you can use your home phones at the same time your online. Roadrunner is great if you want to throw out $45 a month.

If you are looking for dial-up accounts, you can find them by "Googling" your city and the word "ISP". Almost everyone of them is cheaper than AOL .... they don't bomb you with ads, and allow you to use a regular email program (like Outlook or Thunderbird).

If AOL Instant Messenger is your thing, you can download the free software from AOL (like I did) to
use on ANY ISP.

I was on AOL in the 90's when the web got going .... I finally left them many years ago because the service started to leave a really bad taste in my mouth ... there are much better values out there.

Sorry about the email name, dude. Maybe you'll get lucky and will only have to change the LAST part of your email.
