This Tax is just another attempt to take control of the internet
If the senators had used any form of common sense. They would never have wasted 100's of 1000's of tax payers money. This whole ideal is based on a report that used not only out-dated information. But un-real and un-truthful information. Adult Websites making money off of teens under 18 is pure non-sense.
This tax would in NOWAY protect children on the internet. Nor stop child porn.
Any form of U.S. control would only effect U.S. companies and webmasters. Which would shut out money from them that is dumped back into this country's system.
These Power hungry Senators should be dealing with their own states unemplyment and helping to save their taxpayer money.
Maybe they should have put forth something more along these linns.
A need for a new Federal Law.
That would make it illegal for Parents to allow their underage children online without supervision.

To many Parents see the internet has some form of Babysitting service. Allowing their children to surf freely with no form of internet filtering software. Thus when they finaly do get off their lazy asses and see that their little darlings have found gangbangs.com. Or are involved in some obscene activity in some illegal chatroom (100's in Yahoo alone). They are outraged and condem all PORN. When it is really their own lack of supervision.

Then blaming the goverment for lack of control.
Forcing the goverment to try an pass and enforce new laws. The goverment becomes a babysitting service for the Parent's themselves.
The goverment does not mind gaining more control one bit. And the Parents can go back to their mindless Zombie routines.
Patting themsleves on the back for being such a wonderful parent.

The internet is not some form of indoor childrens playground.
It is more like a dark city street. Any Parent who allows their child to wonder unsupervised is to blame, it is their soul responsibility to ensure the welfare of their own children.

Force the goverment to punish the Parent not the porn...
