Flash 8 poised to take on Web video

Agreed, but the point is important.: I have some screensavers and other programs incorporating Flash that are better for using the technology.

The problem is, many web pages now include multiple advertisements which are either scattered blocks of text broken into successive screens or alternating still pictures.

Not only is that strobe effect aggravating in itself, but the ads have not been designed to have enhanced effect from being constructed with Flash.

The aggravation, the simple attention grab from motion on the page, is obviously the whole reason for using Flash.

As long as that's true, my immediate reaction is to want to abolish Flash to make the stupidity disappear.
