The funny part is that "experts" at US Patent Office will accept that.
This is US of A - not Europe.

Oh what relief that patent works only for a region. If you do not plan on doing business with that region then you can ignore its patent (not enforcable and WTO is not any legal body for local, independent jurisdictions).

It seems that this way US may isolate itself. Getting others on board might prove difficult.
