Whats the problem?
So what if firefox was downloaded 75 million times? who cares if 20 million are "repeat customers" or that someone else downloads it once, and distributes it 10 million times, or that 5 million people download it once a night for a month?.

NO ONE can prove these numbers, or answer the questions above, so why argue about it. Granted those numbers are most likely a bit inflated, just as any retailer trying to make a product look better does (ex: "75 million users can't be wrong" kinda slogan).

So use what you want and get on with it. One is no better then the other, just different takes on the same thing.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is basiclly just talkin out their butts anyhow....
