Remember that in the anti-trust case...
... Microsoft's activities were found to violate the law in the case of Netscape.

The reason Microsoft cared so much that they were willing to risk the possibility of such a finding was the middleware threat, which had the potential to undermine the applications barrier.

FireFox now is not the same threat to Windows that Netscape was then.

My point was that Microsoft is not especially bothered by FireFox, though it is enough of a potential problem to require a response.

That seems a very relevant comment about an article which implicitly and explicitly is about FireFox as a possibly successful competitor to IE.
