Unproven business model
Jobs has already publicly said that he is against the rental model
for music. So far, not a lot of people seem to be signing up for the
subscription services. Whether this is due to them not being
appealing, or due to them being with the "also-ran" companies
with their also-ran file formats is an open question.

But you can bet that if they suddenly catch on, Apple would
introduce their own version in a second.
