Apple does have a link for feedback in the iTMS. If more people
express things like you're saying, perhaps they can be added to
the store. Apple has their lossless format and one would think
Fairplay could be added on top of that.

I agree in general, that since things cost the same, I'd rather
have the higher quality of the cd (as well as the packaging and
such). I tend to use iTMS for songs that are exclusive to the
store, or grabbing individual songs off of compilations or
soundtracks when I have no interest in paying for the whole cd
for the one song I want. Ditto for re-releases of older albums
with bonus tracks when I already own the album, or the one new
track on a greatest hits album.
