Google is a data mining operation first and foremost. Gmail is the most ridiculous thing to come along since Microsoft. Would you let a cable TV network read through your personal correspondance in order to target ads at you? I wouldn't. Everyone is so fixated on the 2 gig storage limit that they forget that they are just signing up to be a tool for an ad company.
