It doesn't really: But in Linux, you don't have the risk of having adware accidently installed (perhaps due to downloading a freeware program, like Kaaza for instance, or perhaps due to clicking a URL or attachment in Outlook which links you to a virus and/or adware infected file) which then proceeds to pop up ads using IE even when you are not web browsing.
