Just getting stupid
So now image search engine are being sued? What about normal searches, aren't those snippets from the page copyrighted?
The images in the results are thumbnails, if people want to get any actual benefit from them, they will have to click on it for a full sized version, and that will take it to site it's actually on. If its not supposed to be there, than that should be that sites problem. This obviously falls under free use.
I would hate to think we're heading toward a time when any technology can be shut down reguardless of its legal uses just because it can be used to infringe on someones copyright.
