If you MUST use IE, use Ad-Aware to clean up after it. I honestly make a point of never reading any online ad or popup - I would never buy anything from any of them because I resent them. WebNuker helps with popups by directing them to the local Windows hosts file, making the site not found and causing a wonderful horrible death to the popup.
