"The future" and "Advantages" and "Wisdom"
Osreinstall:
---First of all in the future, will come on all machines like
houses come with locks. If you choose to use it, your customers
can watch DRM enabled content. If you don't use it people will
not be able to watch DRM enabled content.---

Or you'll just download the hack that's published 10 minutes
after those locks are released and then you'll be able to control
your own machine.

Voska:
---My point is if I choose to not DRM my content allowing me to
sell it for less and it's much easier to use then I've distinct
advantage over my competitor---

A great point, especially if you're an up and comer, trying to get
recognition. Take a look at what Cory Doctorow has done by
putting his books up for free on the web at the same time they
were published (http://www.craphound.com). He's vastly better
known, and sells many more copies than he would have if he
had merely gone the normal route of publishing (selling at about
10X the rate of similar first time authors).

Plus you get the lowered production and support costs of not
paying for constant upgrades and fixes to your DRM schemes,
and user complaints when they don't work right on their devices.

Osreinstall:
---But his costs are only slight, and your losses will be heavy.
They will not pay for your content. Why pay for something when
you can swipe it---

HIs costs are real, and your losses are imaginary. How many
companies can you name that have been forced out of business
because of people downloading their material via p2p networks?
And how do you explain the continuing sale of cds and the huge
growth of the iTunes Music Store if no one will buy things they
can get for free?
