That depends if you are the intruder or the defender.
First of all in the future, will come on all machines like houses come with locks. If you choose to use it, your customers can watch DRM enabled content. If you don't use it people will not be able to watch DRM enabled content. All proprietory content providers will be DRM enabled including the software to launch it to not be left out of the market.

Second if the DRM is enabled, you will be able to pass non-DRM content around like today. You can even DRM your personal files so they don't get viewed on another machine, even with non-DRM software.

Third you can DRM open source to prevent nefarious programmers from lifting the content into their appliances. Or you can let the files go free to be swapped by all legally.

I view DRM as securing content. I am all for it. There is negative things to all inventions. Got to look on the bright side. I view this piece of tech with more positive than negative attributes.
