If eBay is so great of a world supermarket, why does the average person have to worry about getting ripped off?

In my mind, that makes it eBay's responsibility. They are collecting the fee's. They should be policing it's sellers as well.

Amazon is not much better. I purchased a software package from an "Amazon listed Seller" and it turned out to be counterfit.

These companies raking in the royalties need to start taking responsibility.

The buyers are just consumers. Beyond researching that the product is right for them, getting ripped off by 'authorized' online thieves should not be their problem.
