eBay gets an earful from sellers

That's funny...

I've found Amazon.com to be a far better experience for shopping for bothed used and new stuff. Sure, they don't have it all, but they have what I'm usually looking for, and that's enough for me.

I never liked E-bay much, with some reason. I know a number of people who got ripped off with little offered back to them by E-bay, they need to completely protect customers from bad merchants. Else, you'll see things like what happened to a neighbor of mine who bought the original 3 Star Wars movies on DVD....over a year before Lucasfilms actually PUT those movies on DVD. Turned out he'd bought a poor quality home-made set of disks packaged to look genuine...but in his case, all three disks were unplayable, they had errors that would make the movie stop after a certain point on the disk, and worse, they were copies of VHS tapes, which gave a seriously degraded image onscreen. E-bay did nothing, they sent him back a small percentage of his money, aknowledged that they were aware all the merchants selling this 'Star Wars DVD trilogy' were selling counterfiets, (btw, there were dozens of merchants offering this fake deal at the time), yet a month later, they were STILL allowing these rip-offs to sell this product! No real protection for customers from fraud, and no real policing of merchants to PREVENT fraud = too much risk for the customer.

In short, I lost all respect for E-bay, and have since refused to deal with them. They need to better police their merchants, and certainly need to address problems like the one above QUICKLY and completely.
