"Oh, how about credibility is Fortune Magazine's stock in trade?"

Oh, how about nearly EVERY publication in existence treats credibility as its stock in trade? You don't think CBS disliked what happened with Dan Rather? You really think Fox News wants to be seen as a right wing propaganda arm?
Moreover, what's to have stopped Microsoft from buying a little praise from Fortune magazine? Think Fortune really values credibility over a nice chunk of change under the table?
A healthy skepticism doesn't treat ANY publication as the be all end all of legitimacy. To say that "well, it's in Fortune magazine so it must be true" is rather stupid. So if that's the best you can come up with, well, then a nice rancid fart back in your face..pffft! wink
