Oh, that's American crem-da-la-crem!
Americans are habitual masochists. They are incessant complainers, and yet go so far out of their way to set up the conditions which will repeat the circumstances that they keep complaining about. In the real normal world this can only be construed as blatant stupidity. Ordinarily, when people realize something is unhelpful to them, they do away with it. But Americans look to keep fostering whatever it is that ails them. This makes it easy for them to stay in their miserable position (like how they wanted all along). Most people don't want to be free, and so they subconsciously seek out those situations which will run counter to their best interests, so they can circle about the merry-go-round..once again..and the pattern comes back full circle..and another day wastes itself away..
