Sneak Thieves

Why is it we have to look out for unannounced, middle-of-the-night amendments like this? In this case what they want to steal is your fair-use rights.

They snuck through the National ID Card this way. Here in Georgia the snuck through a requirement that every driver in the state be fingerprinted.

Is there something about becoming a politician that just makes people dishonest?

I conjecture that someone on this committee is beholding to the Hollywood Studios. He knows he can't get a bill with this thing through without hearings, and doesn't want the publicity. So the plan was to sneak it in when no one was watching. I'm glad someone was.
