If web developers keep writing to IE, then Firefox will "appear" to have
problems. And this is Microsofts number one strategy to slow adoption. They also wanted to let the browser die because it is theoretically a cross platform tool. Firefox ruined those plans and they are now forced to add features to IE. But, they will continue to try and make it look like Firefox has "problems". They will very likely continue to have success with that.
