Must have set up Firefox wrong
"Any of the browser based widgets (sun java) will not work properly in Firefox. It wont work in IE either, but if you install SUN java it works fine. Not the case with FIrefox."

Personally, I don't see how this is possible unless you've royally messed up somewhere. SUN Java should work the same regardless of the browser - it uses its own rendering engine. Both work identically on every computer I've tried. The only times I see differences is when different JVMs are used (ie, IE using Microsoft and Firefox using Sun).
