That's also true. Apple is as much a corporation as any other.
The difference is, Apple doesn't have other areas in which to branch out. They're stuck with what they've got. So they've got to defend themselves.

For the time being anyway. Fortunately, I doubt their iPod will last as long as their Mac. Not with those batteries, whose concept, use, and discarding of are hardly (ahem) environmentally-friendly...

So to make up for it, they're moving the CPU over to Intel (why not eminently superior and CHEAPER AMD Athlon64?!) and porting OS X (which is fundamentally FreeBSD anyway, that's free or $60 to buy on the shelf for PC users) to it?
