Apple opens up open-source effort

I am impressed!

A corporation bothering to contribute back to the community instead of leeching off of its VOLUNTEERS who do the actual work, as so many other Linux-embracers have in the name of fast profits for themselves.

The sad part is, corporations can't live off of open source alone. Its concept spits in the face the purpose of so-called capitalism. (and if you've tried to work with Novell's "free support" for "their" SuSE Linux product, it's obvious they'll fleece you to bankruptcy if they could; there's insanely little that qualifies as free. (which was why I moved to Ubuntu Linux, but I digress...) That's one reason how they attempt to reclaim their purported losses.)

For once I have to commend Apple here.
