Well if it happens it will take a long time. The majority of windows users will not "switch" and linux is NOT ready for the desktop. Microsoft is a HUGE company with PILES of money. They will do what it takes to maintain their dominance. Honestly.....to take away any more market share apple would have to give their OS's away for free for a while, similar to AOL disks. I personally use windows and linux and love them both. Nothing would make me go to the store to buy an apple computer when I can run unix or linux and have the same thing, but maybe it will appeal to some of the more newbie customers.
