It remains to be seen
how the Mac 'purists' will receive this Intel only move. Although I am not so in favor of the Intel chips (which are technological dynosaurs) I can see the value of leveraging an Intel based platform: TONS of open source s/w and compilers that are getting better.

I wouldn't mind an alternative platform on Intel AT ALL.... Sorry IBM: you are too big to move efficiently -- although P5 IS good.
