In comparison...
"Thanks for the morning chuckle."

I'm surprised that's all it takes. :P

"I like FF and have been using it for several months now but, believe me, it is not as stable as IE. I wish it were, but it's not."

You know at this point (before reading your final paragraph) I realize the bias in the statement even though you are a firefox user.

I have seen firefox "crash" twice since installing 1.0.4..

I have seen IE 6 crash time and time again, and a few times yesterday (because i have to use it for work to make sure my code is compatible for both types of browsers).

If you ask me I believe Firefox is more stable based on my own experiences at this point. Until I see it better in IE7 (although I won't switch back to IE because of ActiveX) it'll stay that way.

"I can use IE now with an add-on tab-browser pluging but am giving FF a good run. Honestly, as soon as IE7 comes out, I'm going back - assuming it has the bells and whistles promised and that MS stays true to the IE performance advantages."

Bells and whistles and again, with MS's proven track record there will be a flood of new security problems. Want to bet they will again continue with ActiveX and now add on the fact of tabs in IE etc (all in relation to ActiveX)?

This isn't to say Firefox doesn't have it's issues either. You can damn well bet more issues will surface, and more stability problems will occur. But with my expriences thus far, and me putting it on a variety of computers for a variety of different users. I will stick to Firefox, it's already proven itself in it's infancy. Even IE during it's infancy didn't prove itself until v3-v4 came out.

I will say this though, Microsoft finally did something right and produced a decent application with it's Spyware application. Although I do wonder how long it will take for spyware developers to figure out loop holes to get the MS scan to completely bypass it.
