Time while exposed is kept minumum
This is vital in the browser success. Granted Firefox is still far from perfect, but atleast they had the marketing sense to not do like Hurd and set their goal of perfection at 1.0 Hence Hurd should never be 1.0.

The difference is that Microsoft hunts down those who exploit flaws while Mozilla rewards those who find them.

Firefox is also on the cutting edge of features and less prone to spyware.

Reason enough to keep IE 7?

Large corporations move slowly, hence IE won't be gutted and rebuilt in near the time that Firefox can. Ofcourse, being tied into the kernel also has something to do with development time.
