Mailblocks
"AIM Mail uses technology from Mailblocks, which AOL acquired last year."

The distinguishing feature of Mailblocks is it's white list filter. I don't see any sign of a white list filter in AIM Mail. It seems that they bought the company, then threw away the best feature of their software.
