Take from people what they have built?

You can speak of the UN as the international governing panacea, but the internet has been built out primarily by private interests. These private interests consent to follow ICANN's rules. They all participate in the rule making process... Consider companies like NTT, UUNET, MCI, LEVEL3 do you think they will submit the commercial sovereignty to another party, and let themselves be removed form the decision making loop?

thats funny. you use the network a bunch of coporations have spent billions of dollars building, and now you want to see the way they've chosen to organize themselves to be displaced and told to answer to an external organization that has had no hand in the creation of this thing.
